Emily Irene VanCamp who initially was hoping to be professional dancer, became interested in acting when she visited her sister Katie at the filming location of the film Ladies Room. In parallel to studying acting and acting lessons, VanCamp was offered the role of a guest on a TV show in Canada. Some of the shows she had starred in among others were Are You Scared of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp had a huge career breakthrough when he was selected to play the role of regular Sam Dolan in WB's horror show, the mystery Glory Days. Even even though the show received favorable reviews, the show unfortunately had to be pulled after only nine episode due to the low ratings. The actress who was born on May 12, 1986, quickly landed another part in Everwood. The role she played was Amy Abbott. This role led to her being nominated as the Young Artist Award nominee and for four Teen Choice Awards.
